Nomination Forms

The Monsignor Gerald Lawrence Lewis Award was initiated in 1992 to honor outstanding
educators in the Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Raleigh and to recognize, promote and
encourage teaching excellence.

Any full-time classroom teacher in grades K through 12 who is responsible for planning, grading, and parent contact and has served in the diocese for 4 years is eligible for nomination. Nominees shall hold a current North Carolina Professional Educators License. If the nominee is primarily a teacher of religion, they must hold a Master Catechist certificate”
